The economic, political and humanitarian situation in Venezuela is so dramatic that the Congress, the Senate and the White House of the United States approved in December 2019 a complete legal framework to address the complexity of Venezuela. This Law approves resources and creates a framework for United States policy towards Venezuela.

 

In relation to asset recovery, the United States is one of the countries with the highest concentration of confiscated Venezuelan assets. In the Truth Law, the American State undertakes to return property resulting from corruption to Venezuela.

 

The Law Truth or Venezuela Emergency Relief, Democracy Assistance, and Development Act of 2019 (V.E.R.D.A.D. Act) that encompasses the policy that the American State will follow towards Venezuela.
